Question: Greetings - I'm having some pain (not severe) in my shoulder when I move my arm certain ways. Very noticeable when I reach for my laptop behind my seat from the driver position. Trying to get a feel for what may be going on - Thanks!

Brief Answer:
Possible bursitis or impingement syndrome.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.

What you are describing seems like a bursitis or an impingement syndrome.
The treatment for both its the same- try to not do repetitive movements that might irritate the surfaces of the joint.
Also, use an anti-inflammatory drug which will decrease the pain and also the inflammation. I generally recommend Ibuprofen 400mg 1 tablet every 6 hours.
Be aware of your posture and try to have a good posture.
Use an local analgesic cream and apply by massaging 3-4 times/day.
Ice/heat packs may help.
If worse or not better you may need an orthopedist visit, together with physical therapy.

Hope this is helpful.
