Suggest Treatment For Intestinal Metaplasia

Question: Thank-you. I have been diagnosed with, intestinal Stomach metaplasia. Is there a big concern for this?

I have had Kidney decease for 5 years which is AT 60% NOW. I also have osteoarthritis in my hands wrist, knees and back. Just for your as, NV.infomrmation. Thanks XXXXXXX Easterly. Las Veg

Hello

Intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa is a precancerous lesion.It is a risk factor for developing intestinal-type gastric cancer.
Intestinal metaplasia of stomach is the transformation of epithelium of stomach into a type of epithelium resembling that is found in intestine.

I think after three year follow up is a long duration.Initially you may need annual checkup.

At present,your kidney condition is satisfactory.
