Question: Thank-you. I have been diagnosed with, intestinal Stomach metaplasia. Is there a big concern for this?

Intestinal metaplasia of gastric mucosa is a precancerous lesion.It is a risk factor for developing intestinal-type gastric cancer.
Intestinal metaplasia of stomach is the transformation of epithelium of stomach into a type of epithelium resembling that is found in intestine.
I think after three year follow up is a long duration.Initially you may need annual checkup.
At present,your kidney condition is satisfactory.
