Brief Answer:
Hip, leg or foot problem possible

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Intoeing gait could be due to three causes. Excessive anteversion at the hip, internal tibial torsion of the leg or Metatarsus adductus of the foot bones.

In age group 3 to 8 years, problem at the hip is usually expected.

To confirm the cause, clinical tests are required which can be performed by her Doctor while examining her in the Clinic. Also Xray of the hip, leg and foot can provide helpful information.

The treatment at this age will be surgery to realign the thigh bone in the correct direction and fix with plate and screws. Other than surgery, conservative treatment usually doesn't work.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
