Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Yes, irregular cycles can lead to difficulties in conception, because there would be problems in ovulation ( egg formation ) too.
Were your periods regular in the past ?
Did you have any problems in conceiving your first child ?
Since how long are you trying to conceive ?
What is your current height and weight ?
Looking forward to hearing from you, so that I can guide you in a better manner.
Take care.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Detailed Answer:
Okay, you are considerably overweight.
You need to lose weight.
The excessive weight may be leading to irregular periods.
You may be having PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome, that leads to weight gain, excessive hair on chin etc, and irregular periods.
Please consult a gynecologist and go for pelvic ultrasound scan and hormonal tests - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free testosterone, Lipid profile.
Also, the gynec will go for ovulation induction ( medicines to induce egg formation ) and follicular monitoring ( serial ultrasound scans to track growth of the egg ) to help you with conception.
Start exercising regularly and take 5 mg per day of folic acid daily.
All the best.
