Question: Almost 2 months ago I had some itching on clitoral hood. When I scratched it I felt a quick pain almost like I got cut with a razor. With a mirror, I looked and saw a small bright red spot about the size of a pencil eraser, very slightly indented it didn't hurt, burn or itch. Within the next week 2 more of these spots appeared on my labia minora, again no pain itching or burning and not indented. Each of the spots disappeared within about 3 days. Six months prior , I was in a relationship that lasted only 3 months, I am 50 years old as was the man I had the relationship with of course before having unprotected sex I did ask him if he had any STD's, he said no. I trusted him at the time, later I found out he's not the most honest person I've ever known and I ended the relationship. Four months later, I entered into a new relationship after having sex twice these symptoms appeared, my current partner was tested before we met and has no STD's for sure. To sum it up, I am panic stricken every time I thing about those red spots wondering if I did indeed get herpes from the relationship 6 months ago. Everything I've read suggests that if that were the case, those red spots (ulcers?) would have been painful, especially during urination. What is your opinion and what else could have caused the bright red spots?

I didn't take any pictures. The only thing I can do is ask that you once again read the description I already gave and based on that give me your opinion. Also, I don't know if this is of any help, the morning of the first red spot, there was a swollen spot in the back of my throat, the piece that hangs down but it was fine after a couple of hours. Also about 5 days after the first spot appeared, for a few hours one afternoon I was very tired with a little nausea. I don't know if either one of these things has anything to do with the bright red spots (3 in total) on my labia minora. Please tell me what you think. And one more thing, after I saw these spots and thought back, I remembered seeing a very small scab just above the pubic hair area on the man I was with 6 months ago. I didn't think anything of it at the time, I just thought it was scab from an abrasion of some sort. Again I have no pictures to show as I didn't take any at the time and each spot only lasted about 3 days then disappeared completely and I haven't had any since.
