Suggest Treatment For Itchy Pimples On The Scalp
Question: I went through a period of about a year at age 48/49 eating excessive sugar (candies, cakes, ice cream etc) along with a lot of fruit drinks rich in sugar. I started breaking out primarily on my scalp but also on my chin and sideburn area. They weren't exactly like pimples - they were white skin particles which itched and could be peeled off with a fingernail. I didn't realize that the sugar was the cause and the more I broke out and itched the more sweets I would eat and drink for "comfort". I saw a few XXXXXXX dermatologists but they couldn't help. Finally my neighbor took me to Mexico to his doctor. He gave me a prescription for Zyrtec (it was not yet available in U.S.) Taking 4 at a time 3 or 4 times a day began to clear up the problem and the doctor said it was excessive sugar. I cut back on sugar, and it never completely stopped the "pimples" but I've kept taking the Zyrtec when I would eat a candybar or other sweets. But now for about a year it has gotten worse - I can't take any sweets without excessive breakouts on my scalp (especially in back and above my ears) and on my chin (I have a beard) within an hour after ingesting the sweets, and it is taking 4 or 5 Zyrtecs at a time multiple times a day just to be able to bear the itching. I don't know what else to do. I'm hoping that there is some way to ameliorate my suffering.
Brief Answer:
Sugar allergy
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking
True sugar allergies are rare. Sugar intolerance is more common, especially lactose intolerance. About 65 percent of people have at least some trouble digesting lactose. This sugar becomes harder to digest as you get older.
Sugar intolerance won’t turn into an allergy. An allergy happens because of an immune system reaction. Intolerance happens because your body has trouble digesting the food.
If you do have a severe allergy to sugar, you can have a dangerous reaction if you eat it. This reaction is called anaphylaxis.
It's better too consult a allergiologist if you think that you have allergy from sugar

I did not ask for an oncologist. One was assigned to me. I need a response from someone proficient in my kind of situation. Someone who can read the details of my question and answer with a specific response - not a generalized answer which does not apply to my situation.
