Suggest Treatment For Itchy Rashes On Legs And Arms While Having Bilateral Pneumonia

Question: Elevated CRP. 6 months post AVR, sternotomy repair broke Down . In 2000 had right ulna osteotomy with surgical steel wire repair. 10 weeks postop developed rash over lower legs, feet and arms. Severe itching, no drainage, significant edema both feet. Diagnosed as Lichen Planus. Elevated CRP. 2011 loss of hearing left ear and loss of sensation left side of head with elevated CRP. Periodically have had flares of oral lichen planus erythematosus . 2016 developed bilateral pneumonia with bronchiectasis and again elevated CRP. It seems all these episodes have an auto immune component. What auto immune disease could this be? Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your query I will like to tell you that yes there is a possibility of an autoimmune component because you have upper respiratory tract involvement, lower respiratory tract involvement along with rashes . I think first possibility will be XXXXXXX associated vasculitis like Wegeners Granulomatosis and second will be SLE . I think you should get an XXXXXXX ANA and ENA profile done. These will be most important ones to see for autoimmune etiology. You can discuss these with your immunologist. Also any other query please ask .
Take care.
