Question: I have been having a whole body problem for years and extreme symptoms for months now and can't seem to get any straight answers. I need to get a definitive answer so I can hopefully get some relief from this. My symptoms are joint aches, muscle aches, aches especially from elbows up into the neck and shoulders, headaches, exhaustion to where I can't get out of bed, zero energy, sleep disturbance always, constipation, chills and sweats, thought process foggy, stressful situations send my body into tailspin, I feel out of breath at times. I've had three spine surgeries l4-5 PLIF; l3-4-5 PLIF; C4-5 5-6 6-7 the first in 2010 the last in Dec 2014. I have been a pain mgmt patient since 2011. At this point, pain mgmt isn't keeping pain away any longer and cannot imagine what shape I would be in without it right now. I'm tired of pain meds and not having a life and am looking for some direction for a physician who can possibly help with whatever this is. I currently have a primary MD (naval facility- hard to get in) and pain mgmt MD that I see. Can you please help with these symptoms as to what this could be and where I should turn before I can't take it anymore? Thank you.

Thank you for the answer. So if these battery of test return normal results, then I suffer from depression for which there is no cure and will be destined to this type of life? I have been unable to work like this. If the tests show other than normal, then whatever should show, they will move forward from there? It is hard to fathom that I can be this debilitated for over a year now and seem to be getting worse. Should I see my doctor right away? I've bee to a psychiatrist who changed my meds and made me worse then sent me to counselor whom I couldn't relate, I tried their meditation and it's not for me. So where do I turn?
