Before suggesting you the homeopathic medicine please also take an opinion of ENT specialist since at your age [above 70] the reason for laryngitis can vary from chronic sinusitis, acid reflux disease, bacterial/ fungal/ parasitic infection to complex causes like vocal cord strain/injury or growth.

Meanwhile, please take:

i. Voice rest, soft diet, avoid spicy food
ii. lukewarm saline mouth wash gargles
iii. vitamin C tablets and zinc supplements [zinc lozenges]
iv. you can ask for prescription medicine(s) like: aconitum, argentum nitricum, causticum, XXXXXXX bich, phosphorus in hourly dosage at 6C, 12C or 30C potencies
