Current pregnancy is 12.4 weeks. I have attached the reports with this.
Brief Answer:
Explained.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
I have gone through the report attached.
Basically the placenta is normally situated in the upper portion of the uterus.
When it is within 3 cm of the lower end of the uterus, it is called low lying placenta // placenta previa.
In this condition, there is increased risk of bleeding and other complications.
However, in more than 90 % of cases, this placenta moves upwards to its normal place as the pregnancy advances and the uterus stretches and grows in size.
SO dont worry, in 9 out of 10 cases, that will happen.
Till then, a few precautions -
1. Avoid stress, strain and vigorous sex.
2. If there is any spotting, bleeding, seek immediate medical attention.
Apart from that, there is nothing to be worried about.
AM sure the placenta will be normally placed in the next scan.
Regarding your weight gain, it is slightly more than expected.
You have to be particular about the following -
1. BP should be normal at check ups.
2. Get a urine routine microscopy done to rule out protein in urine.
3. Get OGTT ( oral glucose tolerance test ) done to rule out diabetes.
4. Get latest TSH and Hemoglobin levels done.
5. Avoid excess salt in diet.
6. Take high protein diet, but avoid excess calories in the form of rice, ghee, oil, potatoes, fried food etc.
Gradually I hope the weight gain will be controlled.
Different women gain different amounts of weight in pregnancy, as long as all tests are normal, dont worry, just modify your diet and try to prevent excessive weight / fat gain.
Take care.
