Suggest Treatment For Low Testosterone Levels
Needs further evaluation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns
Before starting on treatment we should confirm whether the testosterone is really low. The levels of testosterone normally decrease as the day progress so timing is important. So if you have done the blood tests after 11 am in morning, the value can be low. Repeat a serum testosterone level at morning 8 am in a good laboratory.
If testosterone is really low, the treatment depends on the cause, your fertility plans etc.
Testosterone is available as injections or capsules. If fertility is needed, LH, FSH injections are available to increase testosterone production from testes.
You should consult an Endocrinologist and have yourselves evaluated.
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you

Thanks for the reply Dr Ajish.
I got the test done in the morning around 9 AM. As per report,
FSH level : 1.64
LH level: 2.77
Prolactin,serum: 10.77
Can you please confirm the next steps on this?
Please share with me the testosterone values
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back. These Hormonal tests are ok.
Please share with us the testosterone value. We usually treat when the values are below 3 ng/ ml with symptoms.
What are your symptoms? It is better to do a repeat testosterone and free testosterone in morning.
If the testosterone is still low, the next step is to do an MRI pituitary to see if there is anything wrong.

My Testosterone value is 288 ng/dl. Major Symptom is that I usually don't get sexually excited or this state continues for longer duration like 4-10 weeks. After this, things look fine for a week or so and then that state comes again.
It seems that my sexual excitement is not happening in a normal phase.
Thanks,

Do a free testosterone levels
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back
Your testosterone levels are not very low. You should do a free testosterone levels to see if your symptoms are related to low male hormones. Total testosterone can be low in obesity ( due to a decrease in binding protein )
