Question: Im a 34 year old with two children. Ive gone off birth control pills that I've been taking for at least 14 years. Im in day 22 of my cycle and have been having lower abdominal pain. Is it ovulation pain or premenstrual pain or something else? I havent experienced this for years so Im not sure.

Brief Answer:
UTI

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about abdominal pain.

1) This pain is unlikely to be due to ovulation at this age.

2) This pain sounds more like urinary tract infection (UTI) pain as it's happening for first time.

3) You can get urine test done to identify the infection.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
