Suggest Treatment For Lower Back And Heel Pain
My wife has had Lower Back Pain and also Heel pain for more about two years now.
Our GP checked and could not give a specific cause for these conditions.
This month, my wife tested positive for Chlamydia using urine PCR. She was given 1g azithromycin for treatment.
We did a personal online research, and we think she could have been suffering from Chlamydia induced reactive Arthritis.
If this is correct, will the treatment given to her already suffice, or we need to do more tests or have more or other treatment?
reactive arthritis is not the most likely cause
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
please inform me about the kind of tests that your doctor has ordered to identify the cause of her pain. Has he done an MRI of the back for example? A plain radiograph? Do you have any reports?
How's the heel pain like? Does she feel pain on the sole? Is the first step after rising from bed the most painful one? Like if she had stepped on a hard rock?
What about the lower back pain? Is there anything that makes the pain worse or better? Does the pain radiate to any of the legs? Does she feel numbness on her legs?
Please provide more information, to help me understand her symptoms better.
I do not yet consider reactive arthritis the most likely cause because other conditions are more common and also because her doctor has not found any arthritis (warmth, swelling, pain and perhaps also redness).
I'll be waiting for your input.
Kind Regards!
