Brief Answer:
Could be a bony cartilaginous outgrowth

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.

Thanks for the query.

Since how long has the lump been there?

Is this lump growing in size?

Does your knee move outwards or inwards when you walk?

It is possible it could be a bony cartilaginous outgrowth which is usually seen in teenage tears but could persist into adulthood and cause pain and other mechanical difficulties.

It is advisable to get an Xray of the knee to confirm the same.

Apply hot packs to the painful regions. Avoid excessive flexing of the knee. You can take Tablet Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days after meals and Tablet Ranitidine 150mg twice a day, half an hour before meals for 5 days.

Kindly answer my queries for me to be in a better position to help you.
