Suggest Treatment For Lump In Left Chest

But I dont see it going away...so please help me in understanding what it is & what to do
Seems to be a lipoma but pictures are not so clear.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to health care magic,
I have gone through the pictures you uploaded of that lump.
Can you take this pics from different angles and distances so that i can judge it better as you have taken this photos from only one angle making difficult to diagnose.
It seems to be a lipoma from this view but the important thing is to examine it by surgeon's eye and hands for making the judgement of its size, shape and consistency, whether it arises from the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle, tendon, or bone.
The other possibility could be dermoid cyst or abscess or boil but as i said it is difficult to judge from this images.
Thanks and Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra

Hi,
Thanks for your query,
It seems to be a lipoma but again the important thing is to examine it by surgeon's eye and hands for making correct the judgement of its size, shape and consistency, whether it arises from the skin or subcutaneous tissue.
A lipoma is nothing but the growth of fat cells or tissue in a thin, fibrous capsule usually found just below the skin.
It can be found mostly on the torso, neck, upper thighs, upper arms, and armpits, but can occur almost anywhere in the body.
One or more lipomas may be present at the same time.
They are the most common non-cancerous soft tissue growth.
As it is non-cancerous and painless so need not to be removed.
It can be surgically removed by simple excision under local anaesthesia if it becomes painful or tender, infected or inflamed repeatedly.
Consult general surgeon for further advise.
Thanks and Regards,

When Should I worry...about it
I do feel the sensation when I bend left side

Please let me know the SYmptoms for which I had start worrying about it.
It is non-cancerous.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Lipomas are very very rarely turned out to be a cancerous or malignant.
So,you must not bother about it.
Occasionally it becomes painful or tender, infected or inflamed or if it is causing a bit discomfort or strange sensation then you can go for surgical excision of that lipoma.
It will hardly take 5 to 10 minutes to get it removed by surgeon under local anaesthesia.
After surgery, your surgeon will send the removed tissue for histo-pathological examination as a part of routine procedure.
I think you are bothering too much and lipoma are not a big issue.
So,do not worry and consult general surgeon for further procedure.
Thanks.
