Suggest Treatment For Lump In Mid Back Portion
Needs clinical evaluation and investigations and proper treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of a large hard lump mid back which can not be seen but causes pain and itches sometimes and is present for one year.
I hope you do not have any other symptoms as you have not mentioned.
With this history I can think about a lump coming from deep within like from the structures like muscles or spine and needs to be properly diagnosed as it can create complications as it is on the pressure area of the body (back is exposed to pressure every time you sit or sleep).
Since it causes pain, I would advise you to have the following:
MRI of the lump
Clinical evaluation, examination and further tests as may be thought necessary.
Initially high resolution ultrasonography and FNAC may help.
I hope this answer helps you.
Please feel free to ask further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
This my medical history. Could any of these have caused the lump.
Fibromyalgia, osterarthritis, spasmodic colon, acid reflux disease, and Thyroid cancer in 2013.
Thank you for your quick response.
Regarding the lump, feels like there could be something like feelers around the site. The pain is not all the time, only when I turned a certain way or stand for to long. When I do have the pain it radiates from the site to both sides of the back. No pain above or below the site. I do have problems with constipation and not being able to hold my urine for any length of time. I am going to make an appointment with my primary doctor for further treatment.
Again, thank you for your response. XXXXXXXxxxxxxxx
Thanks for your feedback and appreciation.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
The lump may be related to fibromyalgia with osteoarthritis (of intervertebral joints).
Secondary from the thyroid cancer may be considered.
Noted your additional feedback. Pain only on turning in a certain way and radiation to both sides of back can be related to the point just discussed above.
Yet a proper diagnosis as explained in the first answer should be done to be sure of what it is and treatment if needed so.
Thank you for your answers. I have made an appointment with my primary care doctor.
Thanks for your appreciation.
