Suggest Treatment For Lump In The Perineum Area
I am a 30 year old male, and have a lump on my perineum which appears every 6-7 months.
It starts as a small painless pea sized lump and over the course of a week grows to an oblong shape about half the length of a forefinger. It then becomes slightly painful but then disappears completely over the following week.
All in all it lasts around 2 weeks and then there is nothing for the following 6-7 months.
Many thanks of you have any idea
XXXXXXX
Please, which area do you refer to as the perineum? Can I have a photo?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about what you have reported. I will like to be very sure of what are you refer to when you talk about the perineum. Is this the area around the anus or the area between the anus and the scrotum?
If this are refers to the area around the anal opening, then this lump is typical of hemorrhoids. They generally appear and are painless, increase in size and becomes painful before regressing completely. They only return after sometime and this is typical of the usual cycle of hemorrhoids which goes with periods of flares.
If this is not the exact description of what you have been experiencing, I will suggest you provide an image and a detailed description of the area you consider the perineum so that I can provide more personalized and helpful information to you on this.
I hop ego hear what your thoughts are and look forward to review any available information that might change the perception of this condition.
Until then, I wish you well.
This would be difficult to discern without examination!

Hi,
Am so sorry but I think an exam would be needed to correctly appreciate what you are talking about. I would very much question if it is a real lump as this area is not known to be a common site of lumps which are lipomas and cyst. If you do ride a bicycle/scooter let me know as this may be the reason for this sensation.
However, I strongly recommend you see a physician when you next have this sensation as the information is not specific and cannot be tied to any common condition in this area.
Let me hear from you and know what you think!
