Suggest Treatment For Lump On Elbow
Question: I have a two inch by two inch lump on the inner aspect of my left elbow. There is no pain or redness. I saw my PCP who felt it was just subcutaneous swelling. I can feel a difference in the integrity of the tissue below the skin around the lump and the lump itself. I noticed it about a month ago, and it has probably grown just slightly. What could this be?
Brief Answer:
Detailed blow.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
In this location it might be a lipoma (benign lesion) or some lymph nodes.
Lipoma is the condition which can be ignored, however enlarged lymph nodes is the issue which needs further investigation.
I suggest you to have soft tissue ultrasound done to verify what are you dealing with. In case of enlarged lymph nodes, biopsy might be necessary.
Lipoma can be removed with small incision.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
