Brief Answer:
As early as possible

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to HCM forum.

Mediastinal tumors needs early evaluation to find out origin and exact type of lesions,as early initiation of treatment is important in many conditions.
Common conditions causing such presentation include thymoma, lymphoma, germ cell tumors etc.
Many of these conditions are benign and well treatable. So you need not worry. The only thing is that we need early evaluation and initiation of appropriate treatment.
Type of treatment needed and any need for surgical intervention will depend on the diagnosis.

Your doctor will discuss all these things in detail with you.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing everything to be fine.
Thank you.
