Sir, I am having this Scitica problem since last 15 years or so. I used to play cricket during the school days and I presume I stressed my back due to bowling and also later I exercised in gym for long hours. Precisely, it started in 1998 after my military basic training and when I was on first posting in XXXXXXX I never reported to problem to a military doctor for fear that I may ruin my career prospect. The pain recur twice or thrice in a year. Whenever it recur, I am in acute pain, I consulted civil doctor who then gave me medicine and the pain receded after 05 or 06 days. But frequent change of doctors due to the transfer/nature of my job didn't help the cause. If I am not wrong I remember I was given injection/medicine of Nerobin & ibrufen. Gradually I took brufen whenever the pain recurs. Recently my cousin who is Nurse advised me not to take ibrufen as it has serious side effects.

Brief Answer:
Please consider these guidelines

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I can understand your concern
In my opinion you should take Tab diclofenacc for this pain instead of ibuprofen with calcium and vitamin supplements.
Looking at your description this could be a disc problem so I would advise you for an X ray LET spine or an MRI to confirm/rule out the diagnosis

Meanwhile you should visit a physiotherapist for exercise program like stretching exercises and short wave radiation therapy
Avoid sudden bending forward, lifting heavy weight
Use hard bed to sleep
correct your posture and gait while working or exercising.

Hope this answers your question, please feel free to ask for more clarification
Best wishes
