Brief Answer:
Visit hospital to get an appointment for Consultant ENT Specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. There are a number of causes for persistent infection. Most common include:
- Resistant bacteria
- Patient not taking adequate dose
- General care along with medicine is not taken

Any of the above mentioned cause may result in persistent infection. Throat and ear have communication so mostly when there is throat infection then it may spread to ear via Eustachian tube. In your case infection most probably has spreaded to ear resulting in these symptoms. It now requires direct visualization by an ENT specialist so i would suggest you to get an appointment for him. He will examine you in detail and will advise some investigations including culture to confirm the type of bacteria causing infection and medicine that will effect. Meanwhile following general measures will also help in smooth recovery:

- Take hot water in a cup, add 1 tablespoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouthwash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
- Try that water does not enter your ear while taking shower. Even if it does then dry it with the help of cotton or tissue.

- AVOID:
> Chilled water
> Drinks
> Spicy food

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Brief Answer:
Mat occurs due to Eustachian tube blockage

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for the followup query.

Eustachian tube(auditory canal) maintains normal pressure within ear. Now for if some reasons(like infection) Eustachian tube gets blocked then normal pressure is not maintained resulting in such symptoms. As soon as infection is resolved then it will itself improve.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
