Question: My 2 year old grand daughter has been running a low grade fever less than 100, 99 ish. Her dad say her joints legs knees wrist swells on occassion. Now she has a fine rsh on her back and stomach. She appears hot on some areas of he body and cold on oher areas of her body. YYYY@YYYY

It looks like viral fever. I would like to know the details about joint swellings like duration, severity, associated symptoms etc. We need to rule out rheumatic fever as there is joint swelling.
Till then you can give paracetamol for fever.

Blood test needs to be done (after consulting with your doctor.) Complete blood count, ESR, urine routine microscopy, ASO-titer, Ra factor---these tests need to be done.
