Detailed Answer:
Hello Vxxxxxxa ,

Thank you for writing in to us at health care magic. This is Dr.Riyanka Chail glad to be answering your query.

Your symptoms are suggestive of infection. Ciproxin Hc (ciprofloxacin hyderocortisone ear drops) has been given to you i suppose.

However, if the pain has not reduced, i would like to suggest that kindly consult a ENT doctor for oral medications like:

1. Tablet (Amoxycillin and clavulanic acid) 625mg combination twice a day for 7 days OR Tablet ciprofloxacin 500mg twice daily for 7 days. (ANY ONE provided you are not allergic to it).

2. Antiinflammatory analgesic tablets like Diclofenac 50mg after food or ibuprofen twice a day for 3 days for the pain.

Examination of the ear canal and throat by a registerd practitioner is important to know the cause of infection.

Along with this i would like to suggest you somesupportive treatment like :
1. warm salt water gargle thrice daily. It will give your throat alot of relief.
2. You can take warm compresses over the ear to reduce the pain.
3.take a bland diet and drink alot of water.
4.Make sure you don't fiddle with the affected ear by any means.

Hope this answered your query.
