Posted on Thu, 17 Aug 2017
Question: I am having moderate to severe muscle aching in my arms and legs, back, and shoulders. I can account for some of it as I have increased my activity lately, but it is getting gradually worse and impeding activity. My multi-focal PVCs are also increasing. I am on Simvastin daily. Could this account for it?

Brief Answer:
Multiple causes and statins is one of the causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel , Orthopedic Surgeon.
You have aches and in your body muscles all over and you are on statins.
There could be multiple reasons for the aches and statins are definitely one of them . I would also put osteoporosis/ Osteomalacia as one of the causes which are caused due to deficiency of calcium and proteins respectively,
I suggest you start vit D supplementation , daily calcium and a high protein diet. You should consult your cardiologist for increasing PVCs.
Thanx for the question. Hope I have been helpful.
