Suggest Treatment For Muscle Pull In Groin Area After A Fall

I slipped in a puddle of water in front of a neighbor's home. My right foot shot forward and it seemed the muscles in my groin area stretched to the XXXXXXX I could hardly move, but finally managed to walk home. This happened around Dec. 1st so it has been over a month with no let up in the pain. I do not have redness, nor a lump (which could mean a hernia, I think). However, I can hardly roll out of bed in the morning. I've hesitated seeing my doctor because each day I hope things will get better as it's probably just a pulled muscle. I'm 68.
It is likely to be tendinitis/muscle pull
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Good morning,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query
I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,
I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern. It is most likely tendinitis of adductor tendons due to over stretching due to fall.Treatment of it is rest and analgesic such as ibuprofen. Vitamin B and C help in recovery. It is unlikely to be bony injury but it can be ruled out by x rays.
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
