Suggest Treatment For Muscle Spasms And Sprain On Lower Back
Question: After a running injury, I was diagnosed with a "muscle spasm" in the lower back and given muscle relaxers. I also saw a Chiropractor (didnt really seem to help so I stopped going). Eventually with just muscle relaxers and enough time it did seem to get better, but nobody gave me any better answer than take muscle relaxers and wait. That was about 6 months ago. On vacation, I managed to do something that caused the same injury (or at least the same injury to the same part of the body). Just like last time, my right hip is literally about 2 inches higher than the left one, making it difficult to walk and giving me a "twisted" look. The pain is in the same lower part of the back. Aside from taking muscle relaxers and waiting, what would help? Should I go to someone in sports medicine or physical therapy? All I did on vacation was sit on the beach, so the injury was caused (or the previous injury was agitated by doing non-running and non-sports related activities). This is concerning because if I don't do something more it seems likely to happen again and again throughout my life. Thoughts?

Brief Answer:
Stretching exercises and physical therapy will be helpful.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through the image attached. It seems to be muscle strain to the lower back muscles resulting into muscle spasm. Beside taking muscle relaxer, stretching exercises and physical therapy will be helpful. It is better to consult sport medicine specialist for proper examination and management according to that.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
