Suggest Treatment For Muscle Strain In Leg
Question: I have a leg strain, and cant walk, it is to the side of my hamstring, what should i do
Brief Answer:
Rest, hydration along with ice
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If you cannot walk you should not try to walk or should not try to go with regular exercise. Walking causes more problems. If there is muscle strain that means there is acid building up in the muscle cells due to anaerobic metabolism.
To prevent this you should rest the leg, put ice for the pain and hydrate (drink more water) to flush the already accumulated acid in the muscle cells. You can also spray some muscle relievers if available. It will take 24 to 48 hours for complete resolution.
