Question : my wife is nauseas with vomiting and has a headache. What over the counter can she take? She is 70 years old and does not usually have headaches. No abdominal pain or diahrea yet. This has been going on for most of the morning.

First of all, it is sad to know what your wife had been experiencing lately. Based on the history you have shared, she can use acetaminophen as analgesic and dimenhydrinate for other symptoms like nausea and vomiting. These are usually available OTC. Also switch to soft diets and avoid heavy, oily or greasy meals.

If symptoms persist or fever or some associated complaint arises get her reviewed by your primary physician in detail and for baseline investigations.
