Suggest Treatment For Neuroendocrine Tumor In Stomach

Question: Sir,
Good Morning....
My mom having the Gastric problem, we have consulted Asian Institute of Gastroentology, XXXXXXX XXXXXXX they diagnosed and found small polyp in the stomach, further they tested the IHC of the Gastric Polyp. IHC Markers Chromogranin: +ve, Synaptophysin: +ve, Cytokeratin:+ve, Ki 67: 2%, CD 56: +ve: Impression: Neuroendocrine tumor low grade- Grade-1, Currently she is taking : Cintodac Cap in the morning Empty Stomach,
Kindly suggest the remedial action PLZ.

Thanks for contacting HealthcareMagic.

As confirmed by the biopsy report your mother has small Neuroendocrine Tumor in her stomach. As I understand it is low grade tumor. What was the size of this tumor, have they mentioned it. If it was small then probably they must have removed it completely during the endoscopy procedure. If this has been already removed then nothing else needs to be done. If this has not be removed then probably you need to go back to your doctor at AIG, they will remove it on endoscopy. Nothing more needs to be done. She can continue to take Cintodac.

In any case your mother's symptoms are not due to this tumor, and this at present is very small to cause any symptoms. If removed now it will not cause any problem in future.
