Brief Answer:
Blood vessels inflamation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

One possible condition that may explain your symptoms is inflamation of arteries and veins ( thromboangiitis obliterans or Buerger's disease ).

This condition is closely related to tobacco use and affects first small to middle sized arteries of arms and legs.

As disease progresses, bigger vessels are affected and besides pain and swelling, gangrene of extremities can develop due to clotting of vessels.

Quitting smoking is the only way to stop this condition from progressing.

I suggest you to discuss with your primary care Doctor about these issues.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you good health.
