Question: Hi, for the past two days I've been having pain on again off again in areas mostly just in front of my left ear and sensitivity at times just behind my left ear. Sometime pain is s steady then subside, mostly it will be like a very local throb just near the temple area. Generally the peak pain will last for not more than 5-8 seconds but mostly just a spike in pain for 1 second at my temple area then a drop off. Also just noticed a lump that may or may not have been from before on my skull about 10mm in dia. and about 5mm high located in line with the rear edge of my left ear about halfway up and to the rear edge that's firm and just a bit sensitive. As an fyi I was diagnosed 3yrs ago when I lost vision in one eye as having an ocular migraine.

Brief Answer:
You should get yourself assessed by a doctor without delay

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Migraines occur due to some problems in blood vessels and I am afraid that the pain you mention, could be related. I would strongly suggest that you visit a doctor without delay and get yourself assessed. Till then, continue to take ibuprofen as and when required.

The lump seems to be a lymph node. Lymph nodes are often enlarged when there is a localized infection. Probably it indicates the same.

Hope that helps.
