Hi and thank you so much for this queery.
I am so sorry to heat of this occular
rosacea, a common skin condition that causes redness in your face and often produces small, red, pus-filled bumps. There is no complete cure for this condition. Treatment consists in controlling outbreaks and reduce signs and symptoms.
Treatment has tow main arms: Drugs and measures to limit the flare ups. The first and most important thing to do is to identify factor that provoke and aggravate this condition and try as much as possible to limit them. Some include strenuous exercise, sun exposure, stress, alcohol, etc. Identifying the and avoiding them would help to control flare ups and the intensity.
These measures may be used alongside drugs for better results if need be. First-line therapies include topical
metronidazole or
clindamycin,
sodium sulfacetamide, and azelaic acid. These therapies are most effective in eliminating erythematous papules and pustules. Failure to respond after 4 to 6 weeks may require
oral antibiotics such as tetracyclines. Oral antibiotics are quite useful in ameliorating nodular lesions and eye symptoms.
Flushing is often recalcitrant to treatment, but telangiectasias may be treated with
laser ablation.
I hope this helps and provides some more information for you to act on. Feel free o ask for clarification an more information if need be. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services.
