Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
tHERE IS ALL LIKELIHOOD THAT SHE AHAS DEVELOPED SPONDYLITIS of neck especially the cervical region which can occur due to decreased space in between cervical vertebra and can cause compression of nerves on flexion and extension and even left to right movement and this can cause even dizziness and often vomiting. This is not a sudden onset process but a slow developing process due to a constant habit of stooping and walking or sitting in a non erect posture which can cause the cervical spine to bend.
Often a sudden stretch or awkward sleeping posture can trigger paraspinal neck muscular spam emulating torticollis and causing difficulty in moving neck, this is likely to have happened here. As there is no fever or constant headache , meningism is out of question in absence of any infection. So advise is to rest of flat bed and not try any unwanted movements of neck, apply local NSAID GEL like diclofenac gel thrice a day and use hot fomentation for 15 min each thrice a day over neck muscles and take a pain killer like combiflam thrice a day. A cervical collar for 8-10 hours a day for at least 2 days would be ideal to provide adequate relief. Avoid any use of pillows completely and maintain erect posture. Avoid any neck massages as it would injure the paraspinal muscles further.
If the pain doesn't subside in next 48 hrs you should visit your physician for a local exam and an X-ray cervical spine for complete evaluation.

Valuable suggestion, I will go with the above medications. Can she recover with "space in between cervical vertebra" in future? if she take care of correct postures? an avoid pillows?

Detailed Answer:
Well of course yes, as its just a start i believe, however the confirmation of the diagnosis can be made only after an X-ray cervical spine.
In the meantime she can definitely follow the options which i have mentioned to attain pain and symptomatic relief.
Prevention in case of cervical spondylosis and exercises and correct posture is the key to treatment in early reminiscence.
