Suggest Treatment For Pain And Swelling In The Knee

Question: I twisted my right knee back in November last year. Still having pain, swelling, and weakness with that knee. Also, in the last month or so, the corresponding ankle swells too. I haven't had it checked since I injured it in November. Should I have it rechecked for a tear or continue to try letting it heal on it's own?
Brief Answer:
Get an MRI done
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.
Pain, swelling and weakness due to an 5 month old injury warrants medical attention. It is high time now.If it was to heal up spontaneously,it should have healed within 1 month after the injury.
Most probably, there may be a ligament tear inside the joint causing the present symptoms.
So,i would suggest not to continue letting it heal on its own.
Instead get an Xray and MRI done to confirm the diagnosis.
Do let me know the reports once they are ready.
I hope the answer was useful.
Feel free to ask me any doubts that you may have.
Best wishes.
