Question: intermittent "tingling"-like feeling, left side of neck. i have a strained muscle; went to a chiropractor a couple of weeks ago; 3 sessions, not much improvement; taking otc naproxen

Hello. You have a nerve compression problem, possibly from a herniated disk and it would take an MRI of your cervical spine to check for that. Usually these don't require surgery but if that's the problem, I would refer you to a physiatrist--a physical medicine and rehabilitation MD specialist--for a customized physical therapy program to alleviate the symptoms.
