Question: Hi I have been experiencing a good amount of pain in the back part of my head right above my neck. I thought it would go away but it has not. It tends to get worse if I yell or talk louder or in high stress situations.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to many causes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain at the back of the head can be due to a muscle spasm caused by a sudden neck movement, migraine, stress or anxiety, tension headache, etc.
You can take tablet Tylenol 600mg twice a day for 3-4 days. Avoid temperature extremes. Drink plenty of fluids and consume plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Doing a hot fomentation and applying a local analgesic gel can also help.
If the symptoms do not improve or you have worsening of pain, review with your doctor for careful examination and to obtain more specific prescription medication.

I hope this answers your query.
