Suggest Treatment For Pain In Heels
I am having (only Right Leg) heel pain whenever I start walking after sleeping and sitting for even short time from last 1-2 weeks. the pain remains for long time. I, at start, thought it was because of change in weather. I even did not change the shoes recently. My Weight is 77.5 KG and Height is 173 CM . In last 2 months I have lost 6 KG of weight by reducing the food intake. I am not doing any exercise. There is no any injury in the leg.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I have read your query and understood your problem.
Usually pain within the base of the foot or heel after waking up from sleep or after sitting for long time can point to problems in the foot like plantar fascitis or flat feet.
It is advisable to take over the counter painkiller medication like ibuprofen which can help with the pain and inflammation you experience. You can also apply night splints like foot drop splint which can keep the toes flexed towards the shin. This will prevent you from experiencing the pain after waking up from sleep.
There are various foot stretching exercises where you have to place your outstretched hands in front of you leaning against the wall bending one knee forward and the other knee straightened behind it keep this position for 10 seconds and repeated 3 to 4 times a day and keep changing the foot after that. This week help to stretch the tight calf muscles and reduce the symptoms.
You can also wear soft silicone heel insoles in your footwear to reduce the symptoms.
You can try this for a period of 2 weeks and if you do not find any relief, you can consult your Orthopaedic surgeon to rule out similar conditions like Bony spur formation in the heel and any old Trauma causing the symptoms.
Eat healthy. Keep well hydrated. Use soft, comfortable footwear. Exercise regularly.
I hope I have answered your query.
Thanking you.
