Suggest Treatment For Pain In Jaws

Question: Hello, the left wisdom tooth of my lower jaw is growing and the last 2 days I have a lot of pain. I am 25 and i had the 2 wisdom teeth of the upper jaw 5 years ago so i have no idea why it took so long for the lower ones to appear. I have realized today, that when i touch the skin under my chin, to the left hand side, my lymph node is painful when i touch and feels like there is something in it. Like a cyst maybe. I wonder if this has to do with the wisdom tooth because my lymph nodes were fine a few days ago.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your advice. I have started taking voltaren and using salt water. Also, I have found and attached a panoramic xray of my teeth, however, it is not new, it was 4 years ago. The new tooth I'm getting that causing me so much pain and made my lymph node swollen is the lower left wisdom tooth. The right wisdom tooth is still under the skin, didn't grow yet.
What do you think regarding their location? Does it look like there is not much space?
I appreciate your help.

Thanks a lot

Brief Answer:
Advised wisdom teeth extraction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for providing required details.

As we can see that all four wisdom teeth are in eruptive stage, and trying to push their way to come to the oral cavity(mouth).Four years is enough time for eruption but since there is lack of space, the tooth has remained partially impacted, which you can very well see in the radio graph. There is not much scope for the lower wisdom teeth to erupt fully in the mouth.

This is the major cause of recurrent infections and swollen glands.
your infection will go down with antibiotics, temporarily but there are chances of reinfection. Therefore, please plan and get them extracted, especially lower wisdom teeth on either side.

It is not very urgent to get it done by today or tomorrow but definitely, it should be extracted soon under antibiotic coverage.

Meanwhile continue with your antibiotics and pain killers for not more than five days. Also do warm saline rinses after every meal and maintain good oral hygiene.

Hope it helps.
Let me know for further doubts.
Thanks.
Take care.
