Suggest Treatment For Pain In Lower Abdomen And Back

Question: Thank you. I have pain in lower right abdomen and back. My bowels are dark and look like marbles. I'm drinking 11 bottles of water a day...thought it was a Uti and kidney stones, which I have had in past 3 months. Dr put me on Bacrim. I am tired. Pain is moderate.

Suspecting gastritis causing upper GI bleeding

Hi,

Welcome to health care magic.

I have gone through your query and I am suspecting acute gastritis in your case which can present with diffuse pain abdomen and black tarry stools if there is upper GI bleeding.

Antibiotics can also cause gastritis.

I suggest the following:
1. Tab Buscopan twice daily after food for two days.
2. Tab Pantop 40 mg twice daily before food for two days.

You should feel better in two days.

If your symptoms do not reduce, you need to get a ultarsound scan of abdomen to rule out other causes of dark stools and pain in the abdomen.

Please continue the water intake and complete the full course of antibiotics prescribed.
