Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Back When Suffering From Cyst In Ovaries

default
Posted on Tue, 19 May 2015
Question: I have been sick for a long time now with lower pains in my right side of my back and a domain... I was told that I had a cyst that was 3 cm on my ovaries ... I have not had my period for at least 14 years and at first I thought it was due to my using the progesterone pill in my arm.. But on getting progressively sick I had it removed to see if it would help. I have been to a doctor whom did a very quick check for pollops and said that I must be menopausal.. Yet each time I have a test on my hormones they say they I have a high amount of estrogen still.. I have now been in bed for 3 days with terrible lower back pain , throbbing stomach on my right side and I just don't want to eat, only want to sleep all the time.. I can feel small lumps in my right side when I lie down in bed. It is sore to touch .. I have tried so hard not to bother anyone and get through this on my own.. But I am so very tired trying to stay on top of this problem... I eat healthy food as best I can, I don't smoke and I try all I can to look after myself.. But I find that I go through a cycle it seems of just getting a little better and then I need to go to bed for days to try and beat the pain ... My skin is very bad because of it, I have periods of terrible night sweats which is why I wondered about menopause.. Whom can I go to to give me some guidance? I know this is not an easy question but I am getting so sick that it is effecting my life constantly...

Brief Answer:
You need to consult a general physician.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The pain in the lower abdomen and back can be due to a urinary infection or a renal cause. The pain can be due to a disc related problem or ovarian cause also. This needs a proper examination and ultrasound and MRI scan to find out the cause. Do consult a general physician for this.
To find out about menopause you can get your serum FSH levels evaluated. The periods of hot flushes can be related to perimenopausal symptoms. You can get a hormonal therapy prescribed from your gynecologist for this.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thankyou for your kind reply.. I will go in to see a doctor and discuss the issue again with a bit more thought of how to check these things ... Here's hoping ..

I do think I need to be more concise when I go so that I can hope to resolve the cause ..
Thanks again.
