Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Left Hip And Groin Area

Question: OK i have pain in my left hip and groin that just does not go away.i have tried applying heat, then cold packs, what can i do the pain seems to get worse with lower back excersize.
Brief Answer:
heat not ice
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Problems with the hip can cause referred pain into the groin so you probably have a problem like arthritis in the hip.
Stop the ice and use ibuprofen, tylenol and heat.
If it is not getting better you need to see your doctor and get an xray of the hip.
If this does not show up the problem you may need an MRI of the hip.
Hip problems are common and can cause a lot of pain.
Make sure you take ibuprofen with food and do not take more than recommended on the bottle.
Your doctor may suggest physical therapy if the xray and MRI do not show a serious and correctable problem.
I hope you get some relief soon,
