Brief Answer:
Viral infection, symptomatic treatment only

Detailed Answer:
Hello, greetings!
Thanks for posting your query on hcm.
Your symptoms point towards a viral infection.
You may take over the counter antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine and diphenhydramine twice a day for the running nose.
For the cough, you may take Dextromethorphan cough syrup like TUS-Q
Also, do salt water gargling 3-4 times a day. Suck on cough drops/ lozenges like strepsils.
Viral infection is self resolving and you should be ok in a week.
If the cough doesn't resolve, then a throat swab culture test maybe done to rule out bacterial infection.
If you have any further doubts/ queries, you may get back to me.
Regards,
Dr. Sonia
