Question: Hello Doctor,
My Wife had started complaining for Mild pain in upper abdomen. She was visited by Gastro and Two Endoscopies & One EUS was done. She has Pain at the upper center of stomach which radiates to back. As per ENDOSCOPY and EUS folllowing findings were given
1) Erosive Gastritis & Fundic Gastritis
2) Mild Dudenitis

She was postive of H Pylori also and its been more than 3 months now that she is having pain. Now it has increased and amalyase and lipase are slightly high effective pancreas as well due to this. I am very anxious. EUS doesnt suggest any harm to pancreas though. Currently she is on antibiotic and Tramadol with antacids and Reprazole. Please help me here.

3 months since abdominal pain at the upper middle stomach radiating to back, sometimes mild and now since few days moderate pain. All blood results (LIPID, SUGAR, CREATINIE, CBC, TSH LFT) are completely normal except AMALYSE is 140 and lipase is 65. EUS and ENDSCOPY suggested EROSIVE GATSRITIS and some hyperechoic specs in pancreas with mild dudenitis

Brief Answer:
Hi do not worry

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for your query.
I understand your concern.
Possibly she has an sensitive stomach as most of the findings on investigation and endoscopy and Endoscopic Ultrasound are not explaining the pain.
Worthwhile getting an CT scan upper abdomen and an c reactive protein done to look for other causes after consulting your physician.
If they are normal worthwhile trying following things:
Drink plenty of water
Go for a regular walk
Avoid sleeping two hours after meals
Don't eat too much at a time
Regular walk or light e exercise are important.
Avoid stress
Ensure adequate sleep at least 7 to 8"hours a day

All this will help her in long run.
If still symptoms are persistent then worthwhile starting medication to reduce the sensitivity of the stomach like Ssri group of drugs which can be started by your physician only.
Hope this answers your questions.
Happy to help.
Wish her a speedy recovery.

Hello Doctor,

Thanks for your response but I forgot to tell you that CRP and CT scan both are NORMAL however she gets unbearable pain.. I would like to know that things have made her unable to work and pain is really effecting. And since dudenum, stomach both are affected, can you suggest if above mentioned medication is fine or something else should be done as well?
