Suggest Treatment For Pain On Shoulders After An Injjury
Question: fell off ladder . landed on back on that shoulder. soft surface. ie pine needles. injury hours old. arm movement with pain. no pain at rest. can raise with discomfort very difficult to reach above head. holding arm with hand to heart then move to point ahead increases pain.esp with full extension able to move hand no problem. elbow no problem. action of simulating movement of drinking is less painful. if hand resting on table can rotate arm joint with lesser discomfort.

I does not sound like you broke any bones. I suggest that you try some acetaminophen or ibuprofen and see how you are doing tomorrow. You may have just bruised your shoulder. You may be stiffer tomorrow from swelling, but the pain should be decreasing over the next few days. If you pain is not resolving or if you get worsening pain then see a doctor right away.
