Question: Respected doctor,
. I have femoral lymphadenopathy on my right thigh which was found from my usg report consulted by a doctor. He also prescribed me to do a MRI & a blood test. From the MRI & blood test report, doctor told me that may be an operation is required. After hearing this I am very much tensed doctor. He said that the reason for the operation are-
1. I have blood infection.
2. Due to swelling & clotting of blood in my right thigh.
I am very tensed now doctor. Is there any risk in this kind of operation? He told me to do complete bed rest. But I can't do that. As I am a final year student. So I don't want to miss my classes.
Infact in this condition I took participate in dancing also. I know I did a mistake. My pain is increasing day by day from thigh to knee & now towards ankle also.

Please doctor kindly provide me some information about my problem from this diagnosis. And also tell me if I have to do an operation, what percentage of risk is there? Also tell me will I have to be completely lie on bed or not?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Please upload MRI and blood report.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A lymphadenpathy in the groin can be due to an infection. To find out the exact cause, FNAC is usually done. The doctor might be planning to do excision biopsy. You can upload the MRI and blood test report in the box provided on the right hand side to know the kind of operation that your doctor might be planning.
The treatment of lymphadenopathy usually involves a minor procedure in which you will be able to walk normally and do the daily routine activities in 2 weeks. There is nothing to worry. It is not a major surgery.
I hope this answers your query.

I attached the reports sir. Thank you so much. I'm much relaxed now. But a Question sir, can I able to do walk? As the doctor told me to do a complete be rest without even not moving the leg. But as I mentioned that I can't do so. But I tried my best to walk as less as possible. 1more thing sir. Is it completely curable? If I do operation, then is there any chance of happening this disease again? And also as my doctor said that I have blood infection. So will it be completely infection free after the operation? Also if the operation is not done, then is there any risk?
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
You will be able to walk after treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
I have seen the reports. You have an infection in the lymph nodes. This needs a course of antibiotics for 2-3 weeks depending on the type of infection. This can be completely cured. You will be able to walk again. But right now it is best to take rest till the pain subsides. The minor surgical procedure is also necessary to find out the type of infection and for proper treatment. The operation is a safe procedure without any major risk. Once the infection is treated it is not likely to happen again.
Hope my answer is helpful.

Antibiotics are the only treatment for you.

Hello.
All the antibiotics are associated with minor well tolerated side effects. It is best to start with the antibiotics as advised by your doctor without worrying for the side effects. This is best for you.
