Detailed Answer:
Good Evening
Thank You for writing on health care magic
Well the sort of symptoms you are describing look more of a blood vessel getting blocked , probably due to cold weather which is causing the color change and pain due to decreased blood flow to the area.
However it is a bit unusual for the swelling to buldge out and remain for a day. normally it goes off itself. This is common in Raynaud's phenomeon/ acrocyanosis which happens in cold weather.
I feel you should get it evaluated. a Doppler of the blood vessels is a must to see if there is any obstruction in the pathway or it is just vessel spasm.
Secondly start on some vasodilators. Tablet NIFEDIPINE 10 mg twice a day will help in increasing the blood flow and avoiding bluish discoloration.
Thirdly keep your extremities warm at all times , at least till the cold season gets done.
But yes a Doppler is a must at this stage
Hope the information was useful
Do let me know for more queries. Would help you sort it out
