Suggest Treatment For Painful Mouth Sores And Pain During Urination
My three year old has small painful sores in the corners of her mouth, a low grade fever and she just said it hurts when she urinates (but only sometimes).
could be urinary tract infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Low grade fever along with intermittent pain while urinating possibly suggests urinary tract infection.
I would suggest you to get her urine tested for complete examination along with urine culture and sensitivity.
If reports suggest infection then she may require a course of antibiotics according to the sensitivity pattern.
Meanwhile try giving her plenty of liquids to flush out infection.
For mouth ulcers it could be aphthous ulcer which can occur with any fever or stress to the body.
Try local ointments like benzalkonium chloride or choline salicylate ( may be available over the counter) for mouth ulcers.
It should settle down soon.
Wishing your child good health.
