My mother has been detected with an Epiretinal Membrane in her left eye. She is currently using eye drops -Nepalact. The Compositon of the drops is :- Nepafenac, Benzalkonium Chloride. She has also been prescribed with tablets:- Gloweye- Pycnogenol(French maritime pine bark extract) and bilberry extract tablets.
An epiretinal membrane is dangerous if it is causing traction on the retina , that could lead to retinal detachment. Nepafenac is an antiinflammatory drug, it can reduce the fluid formation in the retina. But it's not the solution. I recommend you to visit a vitreo- retinal surgeon and do a OCT to get the details of the retina.and you should also go for a epiretinal membrane peeling to relieve that traction.
