Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic. I'm sorry to hear about your hand injury.
From the sound of your history, it seems like this hand injury happened at least a few days ago (if pus is already coming, it can't be very new).
The description seems to indicate that your hand is already infected. Have you been having any fevers or chills? That would indicate that the infection has spread beyond the hand.
in any case. I would recommend the following if you were a patient in my clinic.
1) Wash the wound with soap and water
2) Apply Neospoirin Ointment to the wound and then dress the wound with fresh gauze and wrap the hand and palm with a roller gauze.
3) Change this bandage daily and wash and re-apply fresh neosporin daily.
4) Use Ibuprofen 200mg up to 6 times in a day for pain.
5) Take an antibiotic like Tab Augmentin 500mg twice daily for 7 days.
6) If you develop a fever or if the pain worsens.. then you need to go to a surgeon and have the hand examined.
Does that make sense? I hope this helps and I hope the hand gets better soon.
