Question: I am having a lot of pain, pressure, aND sensitivity in a front tooth. The pain is 8/10, throbbing, and I am not able to completely close my teeth as the tap sensation is horrific. It's Sunday and no dentist is available

Brief Answer:
Add tylenol to the Advil!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this tooth pain that you have reported. I understand how bad you must be feeling right now. The best thing to do would be to adequately manage this pain. Unfortunately, most powerful pain medications need a script before they can be served. However, we can play with the simple ones in combination to have something more powerful. I will recommend to take the following drugs as detailed below:

Tylenol 500mg caplets. Take 2 caplets every 6hours(4times/day)
Advil 400mg tablets: Take 800mg(2tablets) every 8hours(3times/day)

These together would provide excellent management and permit you to wait until you see the dentist tomorrow. I you do not get real relief within a 4hours after starting these drugs, please consider going to the ER for more powerful pain medications.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
